At tubman.network e.V., we draw inspiration from the indomitable spirit of Harriet Tubman, a revered figure in African American history. Born into slavery around 1820, Tubman’s legacy as an abolitionist and political activist continues to resonate with us today. Tubman’s remarkable courage and determination are exemplified by her daring escapes from slavery and her tireless efforts to guide hundreds of enslaved individuals to freedom through the Underground Railroad. Her unwavering commitment to resistance against oppression serves as a guiding light for our organisation.
When faced with the urgent plight of Africans fleeing the war in Ukraine, enduring harsh conditions and racism on the borders of neighbouring countries, members of tubman.network were moved to action. Venturing out to provide essential supplies like blankets and power banks, we stood in solidarity with those in need, offering assistance and protection.
Despite facing significant challenges, Tubman’s resilience and unwavering dedication to the cause of freedom inspire us to persevere in our mission. Just as she fought to secure liberty and build homes for her people, we remain steadfast in our belief that collective focus and determination can bring about freedom and justice for our community.
Join us in honouring the legacy of Harriet Tubman and advancing her vision of a world where all individuals are free from oppression and injustice.
